Toddler Dies After Fall from North York Highrise

Toronto Police responded to the area near Don Mills Road and Graydon Hall Drive, south of Highway 401, around 12:20 p.m. following reports of a child who had fallen from a highrise. The toddler was declared dead at the scene.

Man Arrested After Pedestrian Struck in Etobicoke

In a separate incident on Saturday evening, a 34-year-old man faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, after a female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Etobicoke. Toronto Police were called to Kipling Avenue and Horner Avenue shortly after 7:30 p.m. The pedestrian was transported to a hospital via emergency run, and her injuries were later described as non-life-threatening. The driver fled the scene but was later arrested, and the vehicle was recovered.

Deadly Altercation at Oshawa Tim Hortons

A 23-year-old Oshawa man is dead following a violent altercation outside a Tim Hortons on Saturday night. Durham Regional Police responded at 8:10 p.m. to an armed person call in the Simcoe Street-Winchester Road area. Officers found a man with traumatic injuries; he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say two groups of males engaged in a physical altercation outside the restaurant, during which the victim suffered fatal injuries. The suspect and several other males fled on foot south and east of the Tim Hortons. An extensive search involving Air1 and K9 units did not locate the suspects. Police believe the incident was isolated and poses no further public safety risk. The victim's name is not being released at this time. The homicide unit is investigating and asks anyone with cellphone, dashcam, or surveillance footage from between 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. to contact police at 1-888-579-1520, Ext. 5418, or Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. This marks Durham Region's third homicide of 2026.

Motorcyclist Killed in Scarborough Crash

A motorcyclist died following a two-vehicle collision in Scarborough on Sunday night. Toronto Police responded to the crash at 6:08 p.m. in the Orton Park Road and Ellesmere Road area. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

E-Scooter Rider Hospitalized After North York Collision

A 63-year-old man operating an e-scooter was hospitalized with critical injuries after a collision on Saturday afternoon in North York. Police say the e-scooter was traveling westbound on Sheppard Avenue West near Kodiak Crescent when it collided with a box truck also traveling westbound, driven by a 55-year-old man. The e-scooter rider was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The truck driver remained at the scene.
