Regina Parades to Follow New Routes Starting This Year
Parades in Regina will be following new routes going forward, city officials announced Tuesday. The changes, which take effect immediately, aim to enhance safety and streamline logistics for both participants and spectators.
The decision comes after a review of past parade events, including the Queen City Pride Parade, which drew thousands of attendees in 2023. The new routes are designed to reduce traffic disruptions and improve crowd management.
“We listened to feedback from organizers, emergency services, and the community,” said a city spokesperson. “These adjustments will make parades safer and more enjoyable for everyone.”
Specific route details have not been released, but officials say maps will be published ahead of each event. The changes affect all major parades in the city, including holiday and cultural celebrations.
Residents are encouraged to check the city’s website for updates and plan alternate travel routes during parade days.
