Edmonton police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying five individuals believed to be involved in a brazen jewelry store robbery that occurred at the Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre in late April. The incident took place on April 27, 2026, at approximately 3:20 p.m., at a jewelry store located near 83 Street and 82 Avenue.

Details of the Robbery

According to a news release issued by the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) on Tuesday, officers responded to a report of a robbery in progress. Surveillance footage captured four suspects wearing balaclavas exiting a 2010-2012 Hyundai Santa Fe parked at an east-side mall entrance. A fifth suspect remained inside the vehicle, acting as the getaway driver.

The four masked individuals rushed into the jewelry store, where they ordered staff to get down and forcibly threw a male customer to the ground. They then proceeded to smash the glass display cases and steal merchandise. The entire robbery was completed in under one minute, and no firearms were displayed or used during the incident.

After the theft, the suspects fled the scene in the Hyundai Santa Fe. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) treated one store employee for non-life-threatening injuries caused by broken glass. No other injuries were reported.
