Dorval Terminus Blocked After Two Men Stabbed Nearby
A bus terminus in Dorval was temporarily closed on Friday morning after two men were stabbed in the vicinity, according to Montreal police. The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. near the Dorval Circle terminus, a major transit hub in the West Island suburb.
Police say the victims, both in their 20s, were transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Their conditions are stable. The suspects fled the scene before officers arrived, and no arrests have been made yet.
The terminus was blocked for several hours as investigators processed the scene and gathered witness statements. Buses were rerouted, causing delays for commuters. Service resumed by late morning.
Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage and urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers or the local police station. The motive for the stabbing remains unclear, but police do not believe it was a random act.
This incident adds to a series of violent events in the area, prompting calls for increased security at transit hubs. Montreal police have increased patrols in the sector.
