Three people are in hospital, two in critical condition, after a two-vehicle crash in Brampton on Saturday afternoon.
Peel Regional Paramedic Services said they responded to the collision at the intersection of Mississauga Road and Mayfield Road around 2:30 p.m.
Three patients were transported to local hospitals, including two with life-threatening injuries. The third patient sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Details of the crash
Police have not released details about what led to the collision. The intersection was closed for several hours as investigators reconstructed the scene.
“Our thoughts are with the victims and their families,” said Peel paramedic spokesperson John Doe in a statement. “We urge everyone to drive safely.”
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
