Two men from Southern Ontario are facing charges following a significant drug bust in Greater Sudbury. The investigation, led by the Sudbury Police Service, resulted in the seizure of a substantial quantity of illicit drugs and cash.
Details of the Seizure
Detectives located and confiscated approximately 410 grams of cocaine, 255 grams of fentanyl, 20 grams of methamphetamine, and $540 in Canadian currency. The combined street value of the drugs is estimated at around $68,000.
Charges Laid
The two accused individuals, whose names have not been released pending court appearances, face multiple charges related to drug trafficking and possession. They are scheduled to appear in a Sudbury courtroom later this month.
Police officials emphasized the danger of fentanyl, a potent synthetic opioid that has contributed to numerous overdose deaths across the province. The seizure is part of ongoing efforts to combat the illegal drug trade and protect public safety.
