Toronto Police Charge Three in Firearms Probe, Fourth Wanted

In a significant development, Toronto Police have announced charges against three people from the Greater Toronto Area, with a fourth individual currently wanted in connection with a firearms investigation. The probe is tied to Project Nighthawk, which addresses violent incidents related to the ongoing tow truck war in the region.

Details of the Investigation and Charges

Daykwon Joseph, a 21-year-old from Toronto, was previously wanted for his alleged involvement in a series of violent shootings on March 4, 2025. He now faces one count of attempted murder, 19 firearm-related offences, and three counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. Joseph's warrant stems from Project Nighthawk, which investigated numerous incidents, including shootings at two tow yards and a gas station in areas such as Weston Rd. and St. Clair Ave. West, as well as Lawrence Ave. East and Warden Ave. These events resulted in three individuals being shot but surviving.

Search Warrants and Seizures

On March 16, members of the Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force executed search warrants on a vehicle and at a residence near Wilson Ave. and Keele St. During the vehicle search, a firearm was allegedly found on one of the three occupants, identified as Zahki Wong-Campbell, an 18-year-old from Toronto. Wong-Campbell has been charged with 19 firearm-related offences. Additionally, during the residence search, two more firearms were reportedly located.

Additional Suspects and Charges

Tatiana Brown, a 20-year-old from Vaughan, faces 11 firearm-related charges. Meanwhile, Malachi Wong, a 21-year-old from Toronto, is wanted for 10 firearm-related offences. In total, over 60 collective charges have been filed across the suspects involved in this case.
