A night of celebration turned violent in Surrey, British Columbia, early Saturday morning, leaving four people injured after a fight erupted on a party bus. Two of the victims sustained serious injuries requiring hospital transport.

Violence Erupts on Highway 1

The Surrey Police Service responded to a 911 call shortly after 1 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025. The call came from a bus driver who had pulled over the eastbound party bus on Highway 1, just before the 192 Street exit. The driver reported an active physical altercation involving several passengers onboard.

Simultaneously, a second emergency call was received from a passenger on the same bus. This caller provided the alarming update that several individuals had been stabbed and that the suspected assailant had fled the scene on foot.

Search for Suspect Underway

Upon arrival, officers located four injured people. Two victims were transported to a local hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The two others were treated at the scene for minor wounds.

Investigators, assisted by police service dogs, immediately launched a search for the suspect in the surrounding area. The search, however, did not locate the man. Police have released a description of the wanted individual in hopes the public can assist.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his 20s, approximately 6 feet tall and 150 pounds. He has short, dirty-blond hair and was last seen wearing a distinctive white shirt with lemons printed on it and possibly grey pants.

Police Appeal for Information

The Surrey Police Service is urging anyone with information about this assault to come forward. Witnesses or individuals with relevant details, including dashcam or other video footage from the area around the time of the incident, are asked to contact the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502.
