Second arrest in 2021 arson of Pornhub exec's Montreal mansion

Montreal police have made a second arrest in connection with a high-profile arson attack that completely destroyed a multi-million dollar mansion under construction for a Pornhub executive in 2021.

Second Suspect Appears in Court

According to the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), officers arrested Mohamed Aymen Tayeb, 28, in the Ville-Marie borough on the morning of Thursday, December 4, 2025. Tayeb appeared in court later that same afternoon, where he was formally charged with arson.

This development follows the arrest of a first suspect just days earlier. On Sunday, police took Claudy (Saucisse Snappy) Lafond, 39, of Montreal North into custody at Bordeaux Prison. Lafond appeared before a Quebec Court judge at the Montreal courthouse on Tuesday, December 3, facing three charges related to the devastating fire.

The Multi-Million Dollar Fire

The blaze occurred on April 25, 2021, at a property on Jean-Bourdon Avenue in the Ahuntsic–Cartierville borough. The luxury home, which was under construction at the time, was utterly levelled by the fire. Police stated that the incident began when a witness called 911 after seeing two suspects break into the residence. Upon arrival, officers discovered the structure fully engulfed in flames.

The property was estimated to be worth a staggering $19.5 million when it was destroyed. In a media release, the SPVM noted that the arson attack garnered widespread media attention due to the immense scale of the property damage, initially valued at several million dollars.

Connection to Pornhub Executive

At the time of the fire, the mansion was owned by an executive of MindGeek, the parent company of the adult website Pornhub until 2023. A 2021 report by Presse Canadienne identified the reported owner as Feras Antoon. Notably, the property and its owner had been featured in a TVA report announcing its sale just three days before the arson attack.

The investigation remains active under the SPVM's arson unit. The arrests of Tayeb and Lafond mark a significant step forward in a case that shocked the community with its brazenness and the sheer value of the property lost.
