According to police statements, a 36-year-old local man was taken into custody during the operation that began around 9:45 a.m. on Monday. The police response included blocking access to the area while they investigated the initial report.
Police Confirm No Gunshot Found
After completing their thorough investigation, Sault police announced that the report of a gunshot was unfounded. The confirmation came after officers secured the scene and determined there was no actual firearm discharge or threat to public safety.
