Ottawa police have arrested and charged a 23-year-old man with a series of serious child exploitation offences following an investigation by the force's Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit.
Investigation and Arrest
According to a police news release issued on Friday, December 5, 2025, the OPS ICE unit was first alerted to a report of a minor being exploited by a man located in Ottawa. The investigation led to the arrest of Yunseong Kim, also known by the alias Andy Kim, on Thursday.
Kim, 23, now faces multiple criminal charges. These include making, selling, and possessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material. He is also charged with child luring and extortion.
Police Seek Potential Victims
Authorities have expressed concern that there could be other victims beyond the initial case that triggered the investigation. In an effort to identify any additional individuals who may have been targeted, police have released the online aliases they believe the accused used.
The suspect is known to have operated under the following usernames on various platforms:
- X (Twitter): yolotake01 and yolotake02
- PayPal: yolotake
- Discord: just2014
- Instagram: justyou0417
Ottawa police have thanked the Korean National Police and the RCMP National Child Exploitation Crime Centre for their support during the investigation. The police service did not provide immediate comment regarding the suspect's nationality or the specific role of the Korean authorities.
