According to police reports, shortly before 2 a.m., officers arrived at a residence in the 3000 block of Sandwich Street West where Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel were already on scene providing critical medical assistance to a woman. During this emergency response, a man inside the home became aggressive and explicitly threatened to shoot the paramedics.

Officers acted swiftly to detain the individual, ensuring the safety of all present at the location. The woman, who was the subject of the medical call, was subsequently transported to a local hospital for further treatment and care.

Arrest and Seizure of Firearms

Following the initial detention, police confirmed that the suspect had made serious threats toward the EMS personnel. He was arrested without any additional incidents occurring.
