Edmonton Man Charged in Morinville Teen Luring Case

Morinville RCMP have charged a 34-year-old Edmonton man with multiple sexual offences following an investigation into the luring of a 15-year-old through Snapchat. The suspect, Jaswindra Nath, allegedly used the social media platform to communicate with the teen and arranged to pick them up from school on multiple occasions, bringing them to his apartment.

Investigation Details

Police received the initial report on November 14, 2025, with the offences occurring between September 1 and November 14, 2025, according to a Monday news release. The Morinville RCMP general investigation section took over the case and discovered that Nath lured the teen using Snapchat, then picked them up from school and transported them to his residence. The incidents happened repeatedly over the two-month period.

Charges Laid

Jaswindra Nath, 34, of Edmonton, faces two counts of sexual interference, one count of child luring, one count of arranging a sexual offence with a child, and one count of obtaining sexual services for consideration from a person under 18. He was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in court in Edmonton on May 28.

Possible Additional Victims

Morinville RCMP believe there may be other victims and have disclosed that Nath used the aliases “yegnut” and “yegnutn” on Snapchat, often going by the name “Jash.” Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police are asking the public to contact them with any relevant details.
