Police in the Greater Toronto Area are searching for a 29-year-old Brampton man and have charged two other city residents following a series of raids targeting alleged drug trafficking operations in Peel Region last month.
Major Raids Uncover Loaded Firearms and Drug Cache
According to Toronto Police, the drug squad and the Emergency Task Force executed search warrants at two addresses on November 25, 2025. The investigation focused on a male suspected of involvement in drug trafficking at a residence in Peel Region.
During the operation at one of the locations, officers seized a significant haul of illicit items. The confiscated evidence included two loaded handguns, along with quantities of cocaine, heroin, crystal meth, opium, psilocybin (magic mushrooms), oxycodone, and Xanax. Police also took possession of drug paraphernalia such as a cocaine press and scales, as well as proceeds of crime.
Charges Laid and Suspect Sought
As a result of the raids, two Brampton residents were arrested and now face multiple charges.
Ishpaul Biryah, 23, of Brampton, was arrested and hit with 16 criminal offences. His charges include possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, possession of a firearm with an altered serial number, and multiple counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Dilpreet Sekhon, 30, also of Brampton, was arrested and charged with possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000 and two counts of trafficking a Schedule I substance.
Authorities are now seeking a third individual in connection with the investigation. Gurjit Gill, 29, of Brampton, is wanted on a warrant for 20 charges. The allegations against him include dangerous operation of a vehicle, possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, possession of a firearm with an altered serial number, and numerous counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Police describe Gill as 5-foot-8, 119 pounds, with a thin build, straight black hair, and brown eyes. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Toronto Police at 416-808-7350 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477.
Separate Fatal Crash Leads to Charge
In an unrelated case also announced by Toronto Police, a 47-year-old Toronto man has been charged following a fatal collision in Scarborough's Malvern neighbourhood last month.
Police responded to the crash on November 5 at approximately 6:45 p.m. on Markham Road, south of Finch Avenue East. A grey Ford F350 pickup truck, driven by a 47-year-old man, was travelling northbound when the driver lost control. The vehicle crashed, resulting in the death of a 34-year-old female passenger, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Hariharan Navaratnam, 47, of Toronto, was arrested on Thursday and charged with dangerous operation of a conveyance causing death.
