British Columbia's Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU) made a significant drug seizure during a routine traffic stop in Surrey on March 24, 2026. The confiscated substances included nearly 1.3 kilograms of fentanyl appearing in purple, yellow, and red forms, approximately one kilogram of cocaine, and 1.15 kilograms of methamphetamine. Two individuals were arrested following the discovery, with one found to be in violation of study permit conditions and subsequently transferred to Canada Border Services Agency custody. The other received a speeding ticket and a seven-month driving prohibition.
Sgt. Sarbjhit K. Sangha, spokeswoman for CFSEU, emphasized that this seizure represents a significant financial blow to organized crime in the region. The investigation remains ongoing, and no formal charges have been filed at this time.
Delta Police Release Images in Year-Old Arson Investigation
In a separate development, Delta police have renewed their appeal for information regarding an arson case that destroyed a North Delta home on April 3, 2025. The fire erupted in the early morning hours at a residence located in the 11500-block of 84A Avenue, with officers arriving just before 4 a.m. to find the structure fully engulfed in flames.

All occupants were successfully evacuated without injury, and investigators later determined the blaze to be deliberately set.
