Two individuals have been charged following an assault and a subsequent collision involving a stolen car in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

Incident Details

The events unfolded on Tuesday afternoon when police responded to reports of an assault in the area. Shortly after, officers were alerted to a motor vehicle collision involving a vehicle that had been reported stolen. The stolen car was involved in a crash at the intersection of Cole Harbour Road and Forest Hills Parkway.

Charges Laid

Two suspects, a 24-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, were arrested at the scene. They face multiple charges, including assault with a weapon, possession of stolen property, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. The names of the accused have not been released as they are scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court later this week.

No Serious Injuries

Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported from either the assault or the collision. The occupants of the stolen vehicle and the other driver involved in the crash were treated at the scene for minor injuries. The RCMP confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and that additional charges may be pending.
