Windsor police have taken two suspects into custody and are searching for two additional individuals following a targeted home invasion in the East Riverside neighbourhood. The incident occurred at a residence in the 1100 block of Cora Greenwood Drive on Thursday morning.
Details of the Incident
Officers responded to reports of a home invasion around 9:30 a.m. on May 14, 2026. Upon arrival, they discovered that three people were inside the home at the time of the attack. All three sustained non-life-threatening injuries and received medical attention at the scene.
Police cordoned off the area, and a heavy police presence was observed throughout the morning. By just before 1 p.m., authorities advised the public to avoid the East Riverside neighbourhood as the investigation unfolded.
Investigation and Arrests
According to a statement released Thursday evening, two male suspects have been arrested. Two other male suspects remain at large. The home invasion is believed to be a targeted incident, and police have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat to safety.
A photographer from the Windsor Star noted that police tape surrounded the house, and officers were seen searching a nearby wooded area as part of the investigation.
