Toronto Man Charged in Garage Homicide of Unidentified Man

A 30-year-old Toronto man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of an unidentified man whose body was discovered inside a garage in the city's Cabbagetown neighborhood over the weekend.

Discovery of the Victim

Toronto police responded to a medical complaint around 9:22 a.m. on Saturday in the area of Dundas and Seaton Streets. Officers were flagged down by a concerned individual who reported an unresponsive person inside a private garage located in a laneway. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, who showed obvious signs of trauma. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Victim Description

The victim has not yet been identified. Police describe the man as approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a medium build, dark hair, and dark eyes. He is believed to be possibly of Asian descent. To aid in identification, authorities have released images of a necklace and a jacket found on the victim.

  • Necklace: A silver chain with a silver heart-shaped pendant featuring wings on the sides and a clear stone in the center.
  • Jacket: A black jacket with a logo reading "Vision Youth Leaders Program."

The logo appears to match that of Vision Youth, a Markham-based organization founded in 2001 that aims to complement school curricula and help youth develop life skills.
