Six Charged with Murder in Aurora; Ride-Share Driver Accused

York Regional Police have charged six individuals and are seeking witnesses following a homicide in Aurora. The victim, David Gosse, 55, of no fixed address, was found dead on June 10 after officers responded to an unknown trouble call at a residence in the Wellington Street East and Walton Road area. The cause of death was blunt-force trauma.

Charges Laid in Aurora Homicide

James Montgomery, 44, of Alliston; Fabio Faganello, 58, Maria Faganello, 54, and Bianka Faganello, 29, all of Aurora; Jaymie White, 36, of Georgina; and Craig Wilson, 31, of no fixed address, have each been charged with second-degree murder. The investigation is ongoing.

Barrie Ride-Share Driver Charged with Sexual Assault

Ontario Provincial Police have charged a 58-year-old Barrie man, Higgs Bhola, following a reported sexual assault in Wasaga Beach. On Sunday around 2 a.m., officers responded to a report involving a ride-share driver and their passenger. The victim was not known to the accused. Bhola faces two counts of sexual assault. Oshawa Man Charged in Whitby Break-In

A 33-year-old Oshawa man, Jesse Kevin Potts, faces charges after a break-and-enter and theft investigation in Whitby. On May 30, Durham Regional Police responded to a break-in at a residence under construction on Thornton Road North and Conlin Road West. The suspect allegedly stole appliances, wiring, and equipment. On June 10, police found evidence the suspect had been staying in the home. Stolen appliances were listed on Facebook Marketplace. Potts was arrested with a stolen air conditioning unit and is charged with two counts of break-and-enter and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. Suspect Sought in Oshawa Stabbing

Durham police are searching for a suspect after a stabbing in an Oshawa parking lot on Sunday around 10:30 p.m. Officers responded to a fight call on Simcoe and John Streets involving a large group. One male suffered minor injuries, while another sustained multiple stab wounds and was taken to a Toronto trauma centre in serious but stable condition. Oshawa Shooting

Durham police are also investigating a shooting in Oshawa on Sunday around 3 p.m. in the area of Ritson Road North and Pentland Street. A male was found with a gunshot wound and taken to hospital in serious but stable condition.
