These statements follow similar warnings from Ali Shamkhani, an adviser to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who told Beirut-based media that Tehran maintains readiness to deliver what he described as a "proportionate, effective, and deterrent response" if hostile intent is detected.
