Three Vegas Hotels Attract Over 50,000 Canadians with 'At Par' Offer
Vegas 'At Par' Offer Lures 50,000+ Canadian Visitors

Three downtown Las Vegas hotels have announced that more than 50,000 Canadian visitors have taken advantage of their 'at par' offer, which accepts Canadian dollars at the equivalent value of U.S. dollars for select gaming, hotel, and bar services until the end of summer.

The offer, introduced in January by Circa Resort and Casino, the D Las Vegas, and Golden Gate Hotel and Casino, was designed to attract Canadian tourists who had been avoiding Sin City amid political tensions and tariff policies under U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to a statement released Thursday, the promotion has generated over 5,100 hotel room bookings and produced more than $10 million in slot play within three months. Derek Stevens, owner and CEO of the three properties, expressed appreciation for Canadian visitors, noting their significant role in downtown Las Vegas.

Statistics Canada data from earlier this year indicates that many Canadians are still boycotting U.S. travel, but the success of the 'at par' offer suggests a shift. However, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority reported a 17.4% year-over-year decline in Canadian arrivals in 2025, a loss of 252,400 visitors, bringing the total to just under 1.1 million.

Overall, Canadian trips to the U.S. continue to fall, with 1.6 million trips in January 2026, down 24.3% from the previous year and 28.2% compared to 2024, before the trade war began.
