Last Chance for Snowbirds: Air Show Tickets Open

The Royal Canadian Air Force's Snowbirds will perform their final shows this summer before a long hiatus. Tickets for the Canadian International Air Show, held during the CNE's final weekend from September 5 to 7, go on sale Wednesday at 12 p.m.

Last Chance to See the Snowbirds

The federal government announced last week that the Snowbirds' CT-114 Tutor fleet will be retired after the 2026 season, replaced by new CT-157 Siskin II planes. The new aircraft will not be ready until the early 2030s, meaning the team will be grounded for several years.

"This will ensure that Canada continues its strong tradition of air demonstration capability with a modern fleet that will ultimately rebuild to the team's distinctive nine-plane formation," the government stated.

More acts will be announced in the coming months.
