As summer approaches, Calgarians seeking outdoor evening activities have a wealth of options beyond the typical concerts and festivals. The city boasts a growing roster of night markets that blend shopping, music, and dining under the stars. These events, which operate after sunset, are free to enter and designed to foster community connections.
What Are Night Markets?
Similar to traditional farmers' markets or street markets, night markets come alive as the sun goes down. They offer a mix of local vendors, food trucks, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities. While night markets have long been popular in East Asian countries, their popularity in North America, including Calgary, has surged in recent years.
