A woman from Gibbons, Alberta, is celebrating a $2 million lottery win after purchasing a scratch ticket. Sandra Trenerry claimed the top prize from a Western Canada Lottery Corporation game. The winning ticket was bought at a local retailer in Gibbons, a town northeast of Edmonton.
In addition to Trenerry's win, another $1 million lottery ticket was sold somewhere in Alberta, though the specific location has not yet been disclosed. Officials urge ticket holders to check their numbers and sign the back of their tickets.
Lottery winners are advised to contact the Western Canada Lottery Corporation for claim procedures. Prizes must be claimed within one year from the draw date.
