Devon Man Wins $1M on 'Set for Life' Scratch Ticket

Brian Gillow of Devon, Alberta, recently discovered the true meaning of 'Set for Life' after winning $1 million on a $5 scratch-and-win ticket. The lucky ticket, purchased at the Yellow service station on Superior Street in Devon, featured three matching 'Set for Life' symbols.

Gillow initially asked his girlfriend what the three matching symbols meant. After reading the back of the ticket, she delivered the life-changing news. He then scanned the ticket using the Lotto Spot app to confirm his newfound wealth. He officially claimed the jackpot on April 14.

Plans for the Winnings

Now a millionaire, Gillow has outlined his immediate plans. He intends to pay off his mortgage and take a trip to the east coast with his girlfriend. After that, he may consider investing some of his winnings. 'That's what I'm thinking so far, anyways,' he exclaimed.
