Second Pizza2go Opens in Saskatchewan with Fusion Menu

Chandandeep Singh has realized a lifelong ambition by launching his own Pizza2go restaurant in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This establishment represents only the second location of the chain within the province and the 15th across Canada, uniquely blending Indian and Canadian culinary traditions.

From Childhood Friends to Business Partners

Growing up in India, Singh never anticipated that one of his childhood companions would eventually establish the Pizza2go franchise in Canada. The founder, a family friend and former neighbor from their hometown, initiated the business in Ontario back in 2018. Their bond, spanning over two decades since they played and attended school together, inspired Singh to embark on this entrepreneurial journey.

"I've always wanted to have something like a cafe or a restaurant or a pizza store," Singh revealed. "I worked for a couple of pizza stores when I was a student. That is something that I enjoy."

A Dream Realized Through Dedication

Prior to this venture, Singh spent eight years driving a truck, but his passion for the food industry never waned. He had previously gained experience at major chains like Dominos and Pizza Pizza. For several years, he diligently saved funds to prepare for restaurant ownership.

"I was saving up for the past couple of years preparing to own this restaurant. Finally things came together," he explained.

To open the Saskatoon outlet near the intersection of 51st Street and Millar Avenue, Singh relocated his family from Regina, fundamentally altering their lives for this business opportunity. Remarkably, he received the keys to both his new apartment and the pizza store simultaneously.

Fusion Menu Sets Pizza2go Apart

The restaurant distinguishes itself by offering both traditional Canadian pizzas and innovative Indian-style pizzas, along with an extensive selection of other dishes including chicken wings and Indian street foods. Singh emphasizes that quality and affordability are key differentiators.

"The price and the quality. Our prices are really competitive," he stated. "People come in and they always appreciate our prices and the deals that we offer."

Commitment to Authentic Flavors

Singh personally oversees the preparation of sauces and dough in-house, blending spices to achieve genuine tastes. The restaurant features attractive promotions such as lunch deals where customers can obtain a large pizza with four toppings, two dips, and two beverages before 5 p.m. for $20 plus tax.

"Whatever other place you go, you usually have to buy the drinks and dipping sauce extra, but we always have some deals going on where we include those extras with the pizza," he added.

This new Pizza2go not only fulfills Singh's personal aspirations but also enriches Saskatoon's dining landscape with its distinctive fusion offerings, demonstrating how childhood connections can blossom into successful business ventures across continents.
