After nearly two decades as a dining staple, the Moxies restaurant at Toronto's Yorkdale Shopping Centre will serve its final meal on January 18, 2026. The premium casual chain announced the closure, marking the end of an 18-year run that began in February 2007.

The Yorkdale location has been a hub for celebrations and casual gatherings, hosting over 2 million guests since its opening. Known for its handcrafted dishes, signature cocktails, and a warm atmosphere, the restaurant became a familiar destination for shoppers and locals alike.

She emphasized that the decision is part of the brand's strategic evolution.
Focus Shifts to Future Growth in Ontario
This closure is not a retreat but a repositioning. Moxies confirms its commitment to Ontario with 19 other locations remaining open across the province. Patrons can still enjoy the same menu and hospitality at these spots.
Furthermore, 2026 will see significant investment in the brand's Ontario presence. A key project is the exciting re-opening of Moxies Barrie in a new location at Park Place. This move underscores the company's focus on enhancing its footprint and guest experience in strategic markets.
