Porsche has announced the addition of a fully electric variant to the Cayenne Coupé lineup for the 2026 model year. The new Cayenne Coupé Electric joins the existing gasoline-only and plug-in hybrid versions, offering a versatile, stylish, and performance-focused all-rounder regardless of powertrain.
Design Inspired by the 911
The Cayenne Coupé Electric features an emotive design with a roofline derived from the iconic 911, resulting in enhanced aerodynamics. The sloping roofline sweeps elegantly over the car's broad shoulders, giving it a particularly sporty appearance. The adaptive rear spoiler blends harmoniously into the body, while the flush-mounted rear window ensures a clean, modern look. Precisely drawn lines, wide proportions, and high-gloss black side window strips exude sportiness in every detail.
Enhanced Aerodynamics
The coupé body style improves aerodynamic efficiency. The roof height is 24 millimetres lower than the SUV, and the drag coefficient is just 0.23 (SUV: 0.25). The Porsche Active Aerodynamics system, featuring cooling-air flaps and an adaptive spoiler, optimizes efficiency, downforce, and cooling. The Cayenne Turbo Coupé Electric also includes active side aeroblades to further reduce drag.
Performance and Powertrain
All variants of the Cayenne Coupé Electric utilize the same 800-volt powertrain and adaptive two-chamber, two-valve air suspension as their SUV counterparts. With launch control, the base Cayenne Coupé Electric delivers 435 hp and 616 lb-ft of torque. The Cayenne S Coupé produces 657 hp and 797 lb-ft, while the top-tier Cayenne Turbo Coupé Electric generates up to 1,139 hp and 1,106 lb-ft of torque. Rear-axle steering is optional on all models, while electro-hydraulic Active Ride suspension and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus are available only on S and Turbo models.
Standard and Optional Features
Coupé models come standard with the Sport Chrono Package and a panoramic glass roof. An optional Lightweight Sport Package is available for an even sportier appearance. The interior, powertrain, and suspension technology mirror the previously released SUV body styles.
At market launch, customers can choose from three drive variants. Gasoline-only and plug-in hybrid Cayenne Coupé variants will continue to be offered alongside the new electric models.
