For individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, or partially sighted, alternate alert formats may be issued, though not all alerting authorities or devices support these formats. Broadcasters may use text-to-speech software to create audio versions of alerts, and devices may read alerts aloud. The vibration feature accompanying emergency alerts is also available.
