2026 Foresight 50: Spotlight on Canada's Top Cleantech Ventures
2026 Foresight 50: Canada's Top Cleantech Ventures Honored

Foresight Canada is now accepting applications for the sixth annual Foresight 50, a program that highlights Canada's most investment-ready cleantech ventures. The announcement was made on April 27, 2026, in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Cleantech as an Economic Engine

Cleantech contributes over $70 billion to Canada's GDP, making the transition to net zero a strategic economic priority. The Foresight 50 aims to bridge the gap between transformative innovations and the capital needed to scale them.

Since 2021, the program has become a critical pipeline for high-growth companies. Past honourees, including Arca, Carbon Upcycling, and Mangrove Lithium, have collectively raised over $3.2 billion in capital, enhancing productivity in traditional industries and securing Canada's position in the global clean technology race.

  • Investor networking: Connections to firms aligned with their growth stage and sector at the Foresight 50 showcase.
  • Visibility and credibility: Market recognition through an international PR campaign and use of the Foresight 50 Honouree wordmark.
  • Priority investor matchmaking: Features in a pitchbook, investor dashboard, and recurring newsletters throughout the year.
  • Strategic growth support: High-level introductions to strategic investors and priority access to Foresight's acceleration programs and executive services.

Judging and Selection

An independent panel of over 30 leading cleantech investors, including Dania Moazzam (RBCx), Jay Patel (Toyota Ventures), Ludovic Copere (Sony Innovation Fund), David Weekes (Pangaea Ventures), Emily Porta (Maple Leaf Angels), and Olivia Hornby (Spring Capital), will select the 50 ventures based on investibility, economic and job growth potential, leadership team, environmental impact, and probability of success.

Winners will be announced at an event in Vancouver in November 2026.

Who Should Apply

Canadian cleantech ventures with strong leadership, a clear growth trajectory, and a bold vision for environmental and economic impact are encouraged to apply. Past applicants and honourees are welcome to apply again. Applications are open until June 30, 2026.
