Discovery of overturned kayak
Central Okanagan Search and Rescue (COSAR) was notified on June 20, 2026, after a kayak was found overturned on Okanagan Lake. The vessel was located near the west side of the lake, close to Kelowna. COSAR deployed boats and personnel to search for the missing individual. No other details about the kayaker have been released at this time.

According to COSAR, the search is ongoing with multiple teams scanning the lake and shoreline.
