INSOMNIA Festival Brings Global EDM Stars to Abbotsford's Fraser Valley
The 2026 edition of the INSOMNIA Festival, set to take place in Abbotsford this spring, will be headlined by superstar French EDM producer David Guetta, alongside Dutch DJ Oliver Heldens. This all-ages event is scheduled for April 4, from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Abbotsford Tradex, with shuttle services available from Vancouver, Burnaby, and Richmond. David Guetta: A Chart-Topping EDM Icon
David Guetta stands as one of the most successful international EDM artists, having sold over 10 million albums and a staggering 65 million singles to date. He has been named DJ Magazine's No. 1 DJ multiple times, including in 2011, 2020, 2021, 2023, and 2025. His tour schedule spans the globe, featuring performances at major music festivals worldwide. His most recent single, Gone Gone Gone featuring Teddy Swims and Tones and I, was released in November 2025.
Lineup Includes Future House and Progressive House Pioneers
In addition to David Guetta, the festival will showcase a diverse lineup of EDM talent. Dutch DJ and future house pioneer Oliver Heldens is set to perform, along with English DJ and producer James Hype, Dutch house duo W&W featuring Willem van Hanegem Jr. and Wardt vand der Harst, and American progressive house producer Audien. Landing in April, this event is poised to be the first major music festival in British Columbia for 2026.
Behind the Scenes: OFF2 and Insomniac Collaboration
INSOMNIA is presented by OFF2, a local EDM event producer that regularly hosts concerts at various Lower Mainland venues, and Insomniac, helmed by L.A.-based producer Pasquale Rotella. Founded in 1993, Insomniac mounts over 32 festivals across Asia, the U.S., Europe, and South America, establishing itself as a global brand in EDM events. The two companies recently joined forces for their first-ever Canadian event, the Lost In Dreams festival, held at the Abbotsford Tradex on February 15, 2026.
This collaboration highlights the growing prominence of EDM in the region, bringing world-class entertainment to the Fraser Valley. With its strategic timing and star-studded lineup, the INSOMNIA Festival is expected to draw significant attention from music enthusiasts across British Columbia and beyond.
