Bonnie Raitt is bringing her Live 2026 Tour to Canada this June, with most dates already sold out. The genre-blending guitar hero is finalizing set lists for the Canadian leg, and one song she is particularly excited to perform is "Made Up Mind" by Winnipeg's The Bros. Landreth.
A Grammy-Winning Cover
Raitt's rendition of "Made Up Mind," from her 2022 album Just Like That, won her 15th Grammy for Best Americana Performance. The track has quickly become a fan favorite.
Deep Canadian Connections
Raitt has a long history with Canadian musicians. Her first major hit, "Something to Talk About," was written by New Brunswick's Shirley Eikhard. She has also collaborated with Bryan Adams, Colin James, and Sarah McLachlan, and admires Colin Linden and the Downchild Blues Band.
Beyond music, Raitt has a fondness for Canadian comedy, particularly SCTV and Kids in the Hall. She discovered these shows through Rush, whose tour bus she rented in the 1980s. The bus had hours of SCTV tapes unavailable in the U.S., leading to memorable laughter.
Raitt's tour promises a blend of blues, folk, and heartfelt performances, with a nod to her Canadian influences.
