The B-52s and Devo, two of the most influential acts from the late 1970s American New Wave rock scene, are hitting the road together on the Cosmic De-Evolution Tour 2026. Vancouver is the sole Canadian stop, with the concert scheduled for Sept. 27 at Rogers Arena.

The B-52s emerged from Athens, Ga., and gained immediate fame with their 1979 self-titled debut, featuring hits like "Rock Lobster" and "Planet Claire." Fronted by Fred Schneider, Cindy Wilson, and Kate Pierson, the band later scored chart-toppers such as "Love Shack," "Roam," and "Private Idaho." Wilson released the EP Second Sight in 2025, while Pierson has collaborated with The Ramones, Iggy Pop, and R.E.M.
Devo, known for their high-concept art rock and iconic energy domes, haven't released new original music since 2010's Something for Everybody. However, the documentary Devo on Netflix and the soundtrack Energy Dome Frequencies: Songs from the Devo Documentary have sparked renewed interest.
