Canadian music stars Alessia Cara, Feist, and Broken Social Scene are joining forces for a charitable cause, headlining a free concert in Toronto this June with the goal of raising $1 million for several local hospitals.
Concert Details and Lineup
The event, organized by rental developer Fitzrovia, is scheduled for June 6 as part of TOgether, a wellness festival that will include fundraising activities throughout the day. In addition to the headliners, the lineup features Tragically Hip guitarist Paul Langlois. Attendees will have opportunities to win prizes, including vehicles and sports tickets.
Fundraising for Healthcare
Fitzrovia stated that all funds raised will directly support the University Health Network and Michael Garron Hospital. Adrian Rocca, chair of the Michael Garron Hospital Foundation and CEO of Fitzrovia, emphasized the urgency of investing in healthcare infrastructure as Toronto's population continues to grow rapidly.
Broken Social Scene is also preparing for a summer tour in support of their upcoming album Remember the Humans, with stops across Canada, the United States, and Europe.
