Giant Screen Outdoor Movie Night in Regina
A non-profit community group called Summer Bash YQR is presenting outdoor movie nights on a giant inflatable screen measuring 40 feet wide by 30 feet high. The next event takes place Saturday night at McNab Park (4801 11th Ave.) — assuming Mother Nature co-operates.
It features Zootopia 2, which was released late last year and quickly became one of the most commercially successful animated films of all time. According to Disney’s official synopsis, the story follows detectives Judy Hopps (played by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) as they “find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the animal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before.”
Following some pre-show activities, the movie begins at about 9:30 p.m. (weather permitting). Snacks are to be available from an on-site canteen. “Gather your family, friends and a cozy blanket or chair to join us for an evening filled with entertainment, laughter and community spirit,” says a news release.
