Wajahat Ali, author of "Go Back To Where You Came From ... And Other Helpful Recommendations on How to Become American," took aim at white supremacists during an interview on Zeteo with Mehdi Hasan, his friend and fellow Muslim political pundit.
Ali ridiculed the notion that nonwhite people are "dirty" by pointing out the bathroom habits of hate groups like the KKK and Patriot Front. "If you don't wash your ass, you cannot be the master race," he said.
Cleanliness as a Prerequisite for Supremacy
Ali reiterated his stance to an amused Hasan, saying, "You have to come back to me with a clean ass, and then I will entertain your argument. That's where I stand." Hasan found the logic sound, calling it "pure logic."
The conversation shifted to bidets after Hasan recalled a video questioning why Americans rely solely on toilet paper. "If you had shit on your arm, would you wipe it off with a piece of paper?" Hasan asked.
"Repeatedly!" Ali interjected. "Would you just wipe it with tissue paper?" Hasan continued, both laughing. "Until it bleeds!" Ali added. Hasan conceded, "OK, that's too much information," before they delved into hygienic customs in South and Southeast Asia.
Cultural Hygiene Practices
Hasan later tweeted a clip of the exchange, writing: "Why don't people wash their asses? Just toilet paper? Sorry, what? A vitally important conversation on 'We're Not Kidding' featuring lotas, hand bidets, and @WajahatAli. You'll appreciate it. I promise."
The discussion highlights ongoing cultural differences in bathroom hygiene and Ali's unique approach to critiquing white supremacy.
