Tom Holland Calls Zendaya 'Maree' at Rome Premiere

Tom Holland and Zendaya once again captured hearts with an endearing public moment at the "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" premiere in Rome on Tuesday. A clip uploaded by People shows Holland calling out to Zendaya by her middle name, "Maree," on the red carpet while she was being interviewed by a reporter. He then asked her about the name of the spot they were heading to after the premiere. "Giolitti's!" Zendaya shouted back, later explaining to the reporter, "That's where I'm going after this." The clip has amassed over 5 million views.

Couple's Public Affection

Holland and Zendaya, who star as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Michelle "M.J." Jones in the "Spider-Man" franchise, first went public with their relationship in 2021 and got engaged in late 2024. Despite keeping many details private, they have not shied away from expressing their love publicly. In a recent interview with Esquire UK, Holland seemingly confirmed the couple tied the knot in a secret ceremony, following months of speculation after Zendaya's stylist, Law Roach, told reporters at the SAG Actor Awards in March that the wedding had already taken place.

Support and Love

Holland spoke about their unique bond in the Esquire UK interview, saying, "We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it's like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury, because I just don't understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else." He added, "So, for me, I found my person. She's my best friend, and I'm the happiest I have ever been when I'm with her, but I have also never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period."
