Tiffany Haddish wrapped up her week as guest host of Jimmy Kimmel Live with one final jab at President Donald Trump, without ever saying his name.
Haddish Reflects on Her Week
“I’ve had the best time this week,” the comedian and actress said. “I made some new friends. I told some jokes that pissed off the White House.”
Earlier in the week, Haddish drew an annoyed response from the Trump administration after joking that the president’s attempt to meddle in the World Cup backfired when Team USA lost. “It seems like everything Trump touches dies — which I guess is why his tiny hands are all fucked up,” she said on Tuesday.
White House Response
When USA Today contacted the White House for a response, spokesperson Davis Ingle told the newspaper: “Who the hell is Tiffany Haddish?”
But Haddish said she has one more way to tick off Trump — and she doesn’t need to be on late-night television to do it. She doesn’t even need to use his name. “And now, I can go back to making the president mad just by being a successful black woman,” she said in her final monologue of the summer.
