Selena Gomez Merges Music, Dessert, and Philanthropy with New Ice Cream Launch
Multi-talented star Selena Gomez is blending her passions for music, business, and social impact with a sweet new venture. Her brand, Serendipity Ice Cream, has partnered with U.S. food delivery company Gopuff to introduce "I Said I Love Blue First" ice cream bars, a product directly inspired by her 2025 album I Said I Love You First.
A Dessert with a Deeper Purpose
Beyond offering a tasty treat, this launch carries a significant charitable component. Every purchase of the ice cream bars supports Gomez's Rare Impact Fund, an initiative dedicated to expanding access to youth mental health services and education. Gomez has been involved with Serendipity Brands since 2020, and this project aligns with her ongoing advocacy in the mental health space.
The ice cream bars themselves are crafted for visual and flavorful appeal. They feature a blue vanilla bean base, swirled with fudge and cookie bits, all encased in a chocolate shell. Available exclusively through Gopuff, the bars promise delivery in as little as 15 minutes, leveraging Gomez's investment in the delivery service since 2021.
Personal Inspiration Behind the Product
In an interview with People magazine, Gomez explained the natural connection between her album and the new dessert. When her team brainstormed products inspired by the album, the track "Bluest Flame" felt like the perfect fit, leading to the ice cream bar's name. Gomez expressed her satisfaction, stating she is "so happy with how it turned out."
The album, which recently celebrated its one-year anniversary, holds deep personal significance for Gomez. She described it as a reflection of the highs and complexities in her relationships. Creating it alongside her husband, producer Benny Blanco, added an extra layer of meaning to the project.
Gomez's Evolving Personal and Professional Life
Blanco, 38, has been a consistent figure in Gomez's career, contributing to hits like "Same Old Love" and "Kill Em with Kindness." The couple's relationship became public in December 2023, followed by an engagement a year later and a star-studded wedding in Santa Barbara, California, in September 2025.
Recently, the pair found themselves in the spotlight for a more lighthearted, albeit controversial, moment. A clip from Blanco's appearance on the Friends Keep Secrets podcast went viral after Gomez playfully kissed his foot during the interview. The incident sparked online debate, with some critics focusing on hygiene concerns.
This ice cream launch exemplifies Gomez's ability to weave together her artistic endeavors, business acumen, and philanthropic commitments, creating a product that offers both indulgence and social good.
