June is Pride Month, and political satirist Walter Masterson took the opportunity to mock the hypocrisy of MAGA supporters regarding the celebration of the LGBTQ+ community. Masterson attended a MAGA rally in Florida disguised in an "Ultra MAGA" shirt and began trolling Donald Trump supporters by complaining about people who go to gay pride events.
The Setup
A woman in a red MAGA hat told Masterson she was "happy right now because I haven't seen nearly as many rainbow flags and rubbish as we've seen last year." Masterson then turned the tables without her realizing it, responding, "They're making the kids wear these flags and these hats," as his camera operator panned to show a child in a red hat holding two Israeli flags. He continued, "Don't make these kids wear these flags and these hats and make it their entire personality." The woman's response of "Absolutely!" suggested she did not grasp Masterson's true meaning.
Further Encounters
Masterson continued to harp on the T-shirts-and-flags issue when talking to others dressed in MAGA attire. At one point, a young man in a MAGA hat told Masterson that he flew to the rally in a plane and lamented that the crew treated him "like I was Osama bin Laden." Masterson feigned sympathy, asking, "It's become harder to be open about your identity nowadays, right?"
The Conclusion
The video concluded with Masterson telling someone off camera, "I can't wear a MAGA hat in some places because, you know, some people don't like that identity." He then asked, "Can you imagine going someplace and being attacked just for your identity?" The full video was posted on Masterson's Twitter account on June 8, 2026, with the caption: "MAGA shows me their Pride! #happypride."
