The choice of their daughter's name holds deep personal significance for the couple. Scottie pays tribute to Davidson's late father, Scott Matthew Davidson, a New York City firefighter who died in the September 11 attacks. Rose is Hewitt's own middle name, creating a blend of both family heritages.
The couple first announced Hewitt's pregnancy in July 2025 with a playful Instagram post that included sonogram photos. "Welp now everyone knows we had sex," Hewitt captioned the reveal at the time.
