Momona Tamada, the actress cast as Ty Lee in Netflix's live-action adaptation of "Avatar: The Last Airbender," has revealed that she used manifestation techniques to land the role. In an interview with HuffPost, Tamada explained that she created a vision board and practiced daily affirmations to bring the character to life.

Manifestation Journey

Tamada, who is best known for her role in "The Baby-Sitters Club," said she began manifesting the part long before auditions were announced. She wrote down specific attributes of Ty Lee, including her acrobatic skills and bubbly personality, and visualized herself embodying the character. "I had a vision board with pictures of Ty Lee and quotes that reminded me of her energy," Tamada shared. "Every morning, I would say affirmations like 'I am Ty Lee' and 'I am flexible and strong.'"

Audition Process

The actress revealed that the audition process was rigorous, involving multiple rounds of chemistry reads and stunt tests. She credits her preparation for helping her stay grounded. "When I got the call that I booked the role, I was in disbelief," Tamada said. "But I also felt like I had already seen it happen in my mind."
