Author Michael Wolff Challenges Donald Trump to Follow Through on Legal Threats Over Epstein Claims

In a bold social media declaration, author Michael Wolff has publicly challenged former President Donald Trump to fulfill his repeated threats of legal action, stating that any lawsuit would force open a public examination of Trump's unresolved connections to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Trump's Escalating Threats Against Wolff

Trump has intensified his rhetoric against Wolff following last week's release of millions of pages of Department of Justice files related to the Epstein investigation. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Saturday, Trump floated the idea of taking legal action against the author, alleging Wolff and Epstein were "conspiring" against him.

This allegation stems from a February 2016 email in which Wolff reportedly suggested Epstein could be the "bullet" that might terminate Trump's presidential campaign, according to Fox News coverage of the incident.

Wolff's Direct Response to Presidential Threats

In an Instagram video posted on Monday, Wolff responded directly to Trump's latest threats. "I woke up this morning and found that last night Donald Trump had threatened to sue me again," Wolff stated. "I think this is the third or possibly fourth time the president of the United States has threatened to sue me."

The author defended his actions, acknowledging "Yes, I tried to encourage Jeffrey Epstein in any way I knew how to come forward with what he knew about Donald Trump." He referenced his book "Siege" in which he claimed Epstein discussed his "breakup" with Trump over Palm Beach real estate.

Potential Legal Battle Could Subpoena Trump Family

Wolff made clear that any lawsuit would give him significant legal leverage. "This lawsuit gives me the power to subpoena Mrs. Trump, Mr. Trump and all their friends," he declared in his video message. The author revealed he has already raised $800,000 through GoFundMe to fund potential legal proceedings.

Wolff also mentioned that Melania Trump previously threatened to sue him after he claimed she was part of Epstein's social circle, a claim he says is supported by recently released emails.

Wolff's Direct Challenge to the Former President

Concluding his message with a direct challenge, Wolff told Trump to "bring it on." "I believe that if the American public knew the real nature of Donald Trump's long relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, they would turn away in horror and revulsion. So sue me. Let's sue each other," he stated.

Wolff added a pointed final remark: "I have nothing to hide, but, Mr. President, you surely do." This escalating conflict between the prominent author and former president continues to develop as both parties prepare for potential legal confrontation.
