Kacey Musgraves Recounts Bizarre UFO Encounter During Flight

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves has publicly shared a startling account of what she describes as the "craziest f---ing orb UFO experience" of her life. The incident occurred during a recent commercial flight from Fort Worth, Texas, to Nashville, Tennessee.

Three Glowing Orbs Follow Flight

In a self-shot video posted to her Instagram Stories, Musgraves detailed how she and her manager, Bobby, observed three unusual orbs in the sky. "I was about to lay down and take a nap, and I saw these lights that caught my eye that just didn't look normal," she explained. "They were about 50,000 feet up probably. We watched them for maybe like 45 minutes."

The singer described the objects as intermittently appearing and disappearing while forming triangle patterns. "They were kind of an orange-ish colour. Sometimes they would get extremely bright and change colour, change size," she said. According to Musgraves, the orbs followed their aircraft from the Little Rock, Arkansas area all the way to their destination in Nashville.

Pilots Confirm Similar Sightings

After landing, Musgraves and her manager approached the flight crew to inquire about the strange phenomenon. "We're like, 'Did y'all just see something weird?' And they're like, 'Um, three orbs off in the sky?'" she recounted. The pilots reportedly confirmed they had seen the same objects and revealed this wasn't an isolated incident.

One pilot told Musgraves they had witnessed similar orbs every night recently, with other pilots reporting identical experiences. "Both pilots were laughing and were like, 'Yeah, we've seen these every single night and all the other pilots are seeing them too and nobody knows what they are,'" she shared.

Musgraves' History with Unexplained Phenomena

This isn't the first time Musgraves has encountered unexplained aerial phenomena. "I've seen many crazy things," she admitted. "I mean literally, keep looking up. I've seen fire burning in the sky. I've seen things that I can't explain. So this is not the first time... I'm a noticer. I'm always noticing things."

Despite capturing video evidence on her iPhone 17, Musgraves expressed skepticism about public reception. "I have videos and it looks like I filmed them on a f---ing toaster," she joked. "The thing is, you could have the best, most high-quality footage of something and no one would believe it anyway."

Celebrity UFO Sightings Are Common

Musgraves joins a growing list of celebrities who have publicly discussed unidentified flying object encounters:

  • Demi Lovato reported seeing a blue orb in Joshua Tree, California in 2021
  • Kesha witnessed "fireballs in the sky" during a 2018 visit to Joshua Tree
  • Russell Crowe tweeted video of glowing red lights outside his Australian office in 2013
  • Aaron Rodgers described an orange object moving through clouds before fighter jets appeared
  • Kurt Russell reported the famous Phoenix Lights incident in 1997, though he forgot about it until years later

Government Interest in UFO Phenomena

The timing of Musgraves' revelation coincides with increased government attention to unidentified aerial phenomena. Earlier this year, U.S. President Donald Trump ordered government agencies to release files related to extraterrestrials and UFOs, citing "tremendous interest" in the subject.

Trump's daughter-in-law Lara Trump has hinted that the president may deliver a speech addressing extraterrestrial life and UFOs in the future. "I've heard kind of around, I think my father-in-law has actually said it, that there is some speech that he has... that has to do with maybe some sort of extraterrestrial life," she said on a recent podcast.

Musgraves concluded her account with philosophical reflection on our current era of uncertainty. "We live in this time where we don't know what's real," she mused. "But I'm here for it. I am open to it. I'm here for it."
