“Weekend Update” host Colin Jost turned King Charles III’s gift for Donald Trump into a blistering reminder about the president’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
The king — during a state dinner at the White House — presented the president with a bell that hung on the conning tower of the HMS Trump, a British World War II submarine, before advising him that “should you ever need to get hold of us, just give us a ring.”
“Or Trump could just call the guy saved in his phone as ’Andrew (Island),” quipped Jost in a nod to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the disgraced former Prince Andrew long linked to the late convicted sex offender.
Trump, an ex-buddy of Epstein’s who has denied any wrongdoing and not been implicated in his crimes, claimed he didn’t know Andrew back in 2019 despite telling People magazine in 2000 that the disgraced royal was “a lot of fun to be with.”
Trump and first lady Melania Trump posed for a snap with Andrew on Feb. 12, 2000, the same day that the couple was photographed with Epstein and his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell at the president’s Mar-a-Lago estate.
Elsewhere in the “SNL” news segment, Jost turned his attention to the State Department announcing plans for a special edition passport featuring Trump’s face and golden signature.
“So you’ll always carry a reminder of why you fled the country,” Jost quipped.
“Also, I love that the picture of Trump is apparently burning a hole in the Declaration of Independence.”
