Influencer Braden Peters Hospitalized After Suspected Overdose

Braden Peters, the 20-year-old controversial online personality better known by his alias Clavicular, was rushed to the hospital early Tuesday after suffering a suspected overdose during a live broadcast. The incident forced an abrupt end to his stream and has drawn significant attention to his dangerous lifestyle and extremist affiliations.

Hospitalization Following Livestream Incident

Mitchell Jackson, a representative for Peters, confirmed to NBC News that the influencer experienced a suspected overdose and required hospitalization. "Clavicular had a suspected overdose last night, and he was hospitalized," Jackson stated, adding, "We have no further comment." Peters later returned home and posted a selfie on Wednesday, revealing facial injuries from the ordeal and describing it as "brutal."

In his social media post, Peters reflected on his substance use, writing, "All of the substances are just a cope trying to feel neurotypical while being in public, but obviously that isn’t a real solution." He highlighted the distressing aftermath, noting, "The worst part of tonight was my face descending from the life support mask."

Details of the Livestream and Emergency Response

The overdose occurred during a livestream in Miami, where Peters was joined by fellow influencer Androgenic and another friend. Towards the stream's conclusion, Peters became unresponsive, prompting immediate concern. A video circulating online captures the moment, showing Peters placing his hands behind his head as Androgenic attempts to communicate with him.

Androgenic later recounted the event on X, explaining, "I hadn’t seen him in this state before and he went from speaking to being fairly unresponsive in mere seconds. Within a minute we all realised the situation, turned the stream off, picked him up and rushed him to the hospital." During the livestream, Androgenic was heard offering Adderall to Peters, but he clarified afterward that stimulants can sometimes mitigate respiratory depression, though he did not administer any once Peters lost responsiveness.

Background and Controversial Associations

Braden Peters has gained notoriety within the "manosphere" online community, promoting "looksmaxxing"—a trend originating from incel forums that focuses on maximizing physical attractiveness through often extreme methods. Peters has openly discussed his use of mail-order testosterone injections starting at age 14 and taking crystal meth to maintain a lean physique.

His hospitalization follows recent legal troubles, including an arrest on battery charges in Florida after he and his 24-year-old girlfriend were accused of attacking a 19-year-old woman. Peters has also faced backlash for using racial slurs during livestreams and associating with high-profile internet provocateurs like Andrew Tate, Sneako, and far-right activist Nick Fuentes.

Footage has emerged showing Peters and others partying while playing "Heil Hitler," a controversial track by Ye, formerly known as Kanye West. Despite Peters' claims of being apolitical and attempts to distance himself from political discourse, his connections to far-right figures persist. Last month, he insulted Piers Morgan's wife during an interview he deemed "too political," and this week, he stormed off "60 Minutes Australia" when questioned about Andrew Tate.

This latest health crisis underscores the ongoing risks associated with Peters' extreme behaviors and the broader implications of his influence within online communities.
