Ariana Grande Slams White House for Using Her Song in ICE Propaganda
Ariana Grande Slams White House Over ICE Video

It's evident that Ariana Grande would like to 'Thank U, Next' the Trump administration. On Thursday, the pop star left a scathing comment on the White House's TikTok page after it posted an Immigration and Customs Enforcement propaganda video featuring her 2024 song, 'Bye,' as reported by Reuters.

Grande's Reaction

The White House's TikTok, which as of Friday is completely silent on the platform, used the chorus where Grande sings 'Bye-bye, boy, bye' while showing footage of ICE arrests. 'Please do not ever use my music in relation to this barbaric, inhumane, heinous nonsense. F*** ICE,' Grande wrote in a now-deleted comment on the video, according to a screenshot published by TMZ.

White House Response

It remains unclear why the Grammy winner's comment was deleted, who deleted it, or why her song no longer plays in the video. HuffPost reached out to Grande for comment. White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson responded to the 'Wicked' star's remarks, stating: 'We'll say this one last time: what's actually barbaric, inhumane, and heinous are the criminal illegal aliens who have injured and murdered innocent American citizens.'

Grande's Advocacy

Grande has been a vocal critic of President Donald Trump and his aggressive immigration policies. In September, she posted a heated question to Trump supporters on Instagram Story: 'It's been 250 days. Now that immigrants have been violently torn from their families and communities have been destroyed, now that trans people have been blamed for virtually everything and live in fear, now that free speech is on the brink of collapse for us all — has your life gotten better?'

Despite the deletion of her comment, Grande remains active. On Friday, she launched The Brighter Days Ahead Foundation, which supports vulnerable communities. One of the grantees includes the Defending Our Neighbors Fund, which raises money for organizations providing legal representation and bond assistance to immigrants facing detention and deportation.
