High Point University (HPU) has announced that 99% of its Class of 2025 graduates are either employed or pursuing further education within 180 days of graduation, according to data collected in compliance with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) standards. This rate significantly exceeds the national average by 13 percentage points, as reported in the latest NACE data.
Exceptional Career Outcomes
HPU achieved an 84% knowledge rate for its NACE survey, meaning the university has accurate information on the career activities of 84% of its graduates. In contrast, the national knowledge rate for bachelor's degree graduates in 2024 was only 55%. The consistent 99% placement rate for the classes of 2022, 2023, and 2024 underscores HPU's reputation as a top producer of successful graduate outcomes.
Structured Career Preparation
The high placement rate reflects HPU's model for structured, four-year career preparation. Students benefit from the #9 Best Career Services office in the nation, as ranked by The Princeton Review, and regularly engage with industry leaders both on and off campus. HPU President Nido Qubein emphasized that the university's success stems from its commitment to teaching life skills that endure technological change, such as emotional intelligence, motivation, adaptability, and effective communication.
National Recognition and Graduate Success
HPU's Class of 2025 graduates have been hired by major organizations including Morgan Stanley, Coca-Cola, KPMG, UBS Financial, Stryker, Marriott International, Bloomberg, Under Armour, and the NBA. Additionally, graduates have been accepted into prestigious law schools, medical schools, and other graduate programs, and have been named Fulbright recipients. The Chronicle of Higher Education recently highlighted HPU for the early career success of its graduates.
Professional Development Events
Throughout the year, HPU hosts impactful professional development events both on and off campus. Notable among these is HPU in the City, which takes students to major metropolitan areas to network with executives and alumni at companies such as Goldman Sachs, ABC News, Visa, Morgan Stanley, and the NBA's Dallas Mavericks headquarters. These experiences often lead to exposure to new career paths, as well as job and internship opportunities.
