A 35-year-old man from St. Thomas, Ontario, has died following a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 403 in Brant County, according to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). The collision occurred on Tuesday afternoon near the Highway 24 interchange, closing the westbound lanes for several hours as investigators worked at the scene.
Details of the Incident
Emergency crews responded to the scene around 2:30 p.m. after reports of a serious collision involving multiple vehicles. Upon arrival, they found a man trapped in his vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other individuals sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Investigation Underway
The OPP's Traffic Collision Investigation Unit has taken over the case. Preliminary findings suggest that the crash may have been caused by a chain reaction involving several vehicles. Police are asking any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

Road Closures and Traffic Impact
The westbound lanes of Highway 403 were closed between Highway 24 and Rest Acres Road for approximately five hours. Traffic was diverted onto local roads, causing significant delays in the area. The highway has since been reopened.
